Slime time and bath tub paint

Luckily, the weather here the past few days has been rainy. This is great because after the fires, we need the moisture. But rainy days are not always good for farm kids who like to be playing outside! To beat the boredom, we have done some fun indoor activities like making slime and bathtub paints. Slime My kids love to watch videos on YouTube. It is one of their prizes for good behavior. The other day, the girls were watching a video where they were making Trolls  slime. So, of course, they wanted to make it too. Sadly, we couldn't find the glitter glue in town, so we just used regular glue. Even without the glitter, they had fun.  Ingredients 1 bottle of glue 2-4 teaspoons of liquid starch food coloring as desired Steps 1. Empty the bottle of glue onto a plate or into a bowl. 2. Time for Field Work

Earlier this month, Philips County was hit hard with a devastating wildfire that destroyed many acres of farmland, multiple herds of cattle, and people's homes. It has been amazing to watch the local communities (and even people from far away) come together to help those affected, and it really makes us count our blessings and appreciate the field work that we are able to begin. The official first day of spring is tomorrow (March 20th), and the weather here has really started to warm up which means it is time to get back to work. Spring field work is not necessarily as stressful as planting and harvest seasons, but it is still incredibly important. The increase in technology helps make this process run a little smoother, too.
